Lesson 40

Sacredfication is yet another word that I made up, which brings our grand total to three. I promise this is the last one. Sacredfication is turning whatever you are doing into a sacred act, as well as wherever you are into a sacred space. There is more power in this practice than you may initially realize, and you can apply it to anything.

For me, it all started when I got a new car. At the time, I was having serious car problems and everything was going wrong in my life. Thanks to my Mom helping me out with some money and a strange glitch at the car dealership, I found myself in a brand new bright blue Toyota RAV4 — the same color as Krishna. That was my first ever new car, and the good feelings were greatly amplified because I was in such a tough spot just before. I never have forgotten the feeling of driving that car off the lot, and for me, it was like driving a Lamborghini. I treated that car like a $1,000,000 car, and it still looks brand new to this day. I keep it super clean, and I minimize unnecessary wear and tear. I never speed or break any traffic laws. I may be one of the only ones left that goes the speed limit. I don’t worship my car, but I treat it sacredly — like it was made of diamonds.

This can be applied to your phone, your laptop, your social media profiles, your workspace, your office, and your home — literally any object or space. This practice has so many benefits. It truly allows you to get the most out of everything. Sacredfication makes everything work better, last longer, and look nicer. It enhances presence and improves focus. Sacredfication has the potential to eliminate all negativity associated with an object or space. Would you use a sacred laptop to watch adult videos? Would you use a sacred phone to order fast food? Would you be distracted and sloppy if you were in a sacred workspace? Practicing sacredfication makes you rethink how you use objects and how you occupy spaces. People are not objects, but would if you extended the practice of sacredfication to include relationships? They would all become more beautiful than you ever thought possible.
