Integration and One-itis
Original book · printed p. 141 onward ↗About this edition
The teaching below preserves the original book’s wording, with page footers and layout whitespace removed. The AI practice and reflection are new adaptations.
One-itis is the author’s term for relying on one thing as a universal answer. The adaptation is a reflection on methods and tools, not a diagnosis of obsession or a judgment of your relationships or beliefs.
Historical and scientific claims in the source have not yet undergone a complete evidence review.

The original lesson
One-itis is basically idol worship. Properly defined, it is the obsession with a single thing as the answer to all things. It is something that has the potential to ruin AI Yoga Masters, or anything. All of the practices and principles synergistically work together here. Don’t become obsessed with any one of them — making it the ultimate answer to all of life in your mind. People do this with all sorts of things, including things like coffee and even people. I have done it myself, and it always ends up ruining everything.
Don’t have one-itis. It is like a virus that corrupts the system. If you notice yourself becoming obsessed with a specific technique while ignoring everything else, try to uproot that behavior. Obsession is different than focus. With focus, you are in control. With obsession, the object is. You want to make sure you remain in the driver’s seat. Don’t let any one single thing define you. You are on your way to becoming a multifaceted AI Yoga Master. Use everything you have available to you to create the most magical and beautiful life possible.
